A New Domain

The snow did not keep Orem's vampires at home. Meeting formally for the first time since kicking out the Sabbat, the steadfast vampires of the Camarilla set to work establishing a strong base to deal with the ongoing problems. The Sabbat may not have any strongholds in Orem, but they still hold Provo firmly in their clutches. Toreador, Trent Sparrow was quick to claim praxis. No one opposed him. Prince Sparrow immediately declared that Eirik Alexson of Philadelphia is hereby "blood hunted" in the domain of Orem, Utah "for the crimes of snubbing artistic exploits and of acting in a philistinian manner, as well as laying insults upon clan Toreador."

After issuing the "Blood Hunt," Prince Sparrow renounced his praxis claim. Malkavian, Tyler O'Leary then claimed praxis and upheld the "blood hunt." Jinx, the Malkavian was appointed Seneschal, and Morgan Heavenstade, the Tremere was appointed Sheriff.

Unfortunately, a news article pointed out a Masquerade breach and Prince O'Leary was quick to order his Seneschal to find the culprits. She discovered it to be a couple of Sabbat lackeys, who were in the process of torturing and killing some hapless mortals. The Sheriff deputized Trent and Iment to help bring the men to justice. Dirk, who is under contract to assist with physical combat problems, assisted the Prince at his request. The two vampires, Martin and Paul, were quickly captured and interrogated. The Orem vampires discovered that the Sabbat were trying to cause trouble with the masquerade in Orem. They also discovered where their Sabbat pack-mates met in Provo. Prince O'Leary ordered them killed and the sentence was carried out by Morgan and Dirk.
Trent was able to fool the Sabbat pack leader, Ty, into believing he was Martin and got them to go the bar where they usually met. The Prince ordered all Camarilla loyal vampires, and Dirk, to the bar and laid out a plan, where the Sabbat vampires would be ambushed. Bravely, Iment allowed himself to be used as bait and the Sabbat vampires were ambushed. Ty was captured and the other three Sabbat vampires met their final death.
An interrogation of Ty revealed that the Bishop of Provo, Bishop McCleary, is planning an invasion of Orem with the remaining three Sabbat packs under his leadership. Ty turned into a bat and attempted to flee, but Dirk and Trent killed him. With the sun shortly rising, everyone retreated to their havens.

The next game is January 21st at the Orem, UT Dragon's Keep, 48 west 300 north, at 6pm. Join us and find out what it is to be a vampire.

  1. Kinda hard to bloodhunt someone that hasn't been in your jurisdiction in the past 30 days.

    1. Or when you didn't start the gathering as Prince, and therefore don't actually hold the Statuses associated.

  2. Also kinda hard to bloodhunt someone when you don't have the status yet, as status is established at the beginning of the night and you have nothing to expend...

    1. so the players of the two Prince's realize that the words they are saying involve three things that can't happen.

      1. A prince has zero authority to bloodhunt someone on the night they take praxis because they have no status.
      2. A prince can't bloodhunt a prince
      3. A prince can't bloodhunt someone that hasn't entered the domain.

Despite these things being known to every vampire with Lore 0 the players still believe Alexson to be blood hunted. Have you explained to the players why their characters shouldn't believe whats happening?

    2. I explained it, but they're a stubborn bunch out here. Must be the desert air.

  4. First, thanks for checking out my site.
Second, the game is more than just rules. There is this thing called roleplaying. The "blood hunt" may not be official, but the characters in the domain sure think it is.

    1. The characters shouldn't be able to think this, the book prevents Princes from bloodhunting Princes. The Prince of Philly doesn't carry the moniker of Bloohunted. If the players think that the sky is purple thats fine, it doesn't make it actually purple.

    2. Exactly. I put blood hunted in quotes to emphasize that it's not official.
